Quick Take: Squarespace Circle
Lander
Jun 18, 2024
- Is something missing? – A design element throughout this page is the blank space that appears between text. In fact, I checked this in another browser to make sure everything was loading properly. Don’t make me think!
- Ambiguous lander – “Squarespace’s partner program for creative professionals” doesn’t tell me what’s in it for me.
- Two purposes ATF – When I land, they tell me there is a partner program, ask for my email for when I’m eligible, AND offer a “web design business plan template” (what a mouthful!). You ask too much, Squarespace! Stick the biz plan on it’s own lander and advertise it. Tell me what I get from being a partner.
- Meaningless image – This image fills the screen on desktop, and is just…people. No text, nothing interesting going on here. No new information and no reason to stay here….
- Don’t say these words – “Impactful” and “empower” don’t mean anything to people since they’re so overused. If you don’t have to have corporate-speak on your site, then don’t do it!
- A thought on words – “Empower clients to sell anything” isn’t what I’d sell here. SS is telling me how I can help clients…but I’m selfish - what do I get here? How about: “build anything for your clients”. People that SS is targeting like to build websites (evidenced by the business plan template offer), so they should say that.
- Here’s WIIFM – Finally, I get to find out what’s-in-it-for-me! When you delay WIIFM for your users, they drop off your website because they’ve lost interest. Here, a user can finally find out that there are financial benefits to being in the partner program.
